High-quality PVC inflatable products can have their service life extended by more than 50% if properly maintained. As a professional manufacturer, we not only focus on product production but also attach importance to providing customers with full-life cycle usage guidance. The following 5 professionally tested maintenance tips can help end-users improve product experience and reduce the after-sales costs of distributors.
Tip 1: Inflate Correctly to Avoid Over-Pressurization. When inflating, follow the “rated air pressure” requirement (marked on the product label). Generally, inflate until the product is full in shape and has slight elasticity when pressed by hand. Do not inflate until it is tight. Over-inflation will damage the molecular structure of the PVC fabric and reduce airtightness, especially in high-temperature environments, over-inflation is easy to cause bursting. It is recommended to inflate with the supporting pressure gauge. If there is no pressure gauge, the “finger pressure test method” can be used – press the product surface, and a depression depth of 1-2mm is qualified.
Tip 2: Use Gentle Cleaning Methods. Use neutral detergents (such as soapy water) for cleaning, wipe with a soft cloth, avoid using corrosive detergents such as alcohol and gasoline, and do not scrub with a hard brush to avoid damaging the anti-aging coating of the PVC fabric. For stubborn stains on inflatable toys, first dip a soft cloth in soapy water and let it stand for 5 minutes, then wipe gently. After cleaning, dry it before storage to avoid mildew on the fabric.
Tip 3: Store Properly to Avoid Squeezing and Sun Exposure. Deflate thoroughly before storage. Avoid sharp creases when folding (the “roll storage method” can be used to reduce fabric stress). Keep away from sharp objects (such as scissors, keys) when storing, and place in a dry and ventilated environment to avoid direct sunlight or humid environment. Long-term exposure to the sun will cause the PVC fabric to age and turn yellow, while a humid environment is easy to breed mold, affecting product safety.
Tip 4: Repair Small Damages in Time. If the product has a small hole (diameter ≤3mm), it can be repaired with the supporting repair kit: first clean the damaged part and dry it, cut a repair patch 2cm larger than the hole, evenly apply special glue on the repair patch and the damaged part, let it stand for 3-5 minutes, then fit it, press for 10 minutes, and it can be used normally after 24 hours. If the damaged part is at the heat-sealing line, contact the manufacturer for repair in time to avoid expanding the damage.
Tip 5: Focus on Seasonal Maintenance. When using in summer, avoid placing inflatable pools and sofas on high-temperature ground (such as asphalt roads) for a long time. You can lay a sunshade mat or wet cloth to cool down; before storing in winter, thoroughly clean the ice and snow on the fabric surface to avoid fabric cracking caused by freezing; when not in use for a long time, it is recommended to check the product status every 3 months, re-inflate to half-full and let it stand for 2 hours to ensure good airtightness.
These maintenance tips have been compiled into a Chinese-English maintenance manual and are included with each batch of products. We believe that professional after-sales service and guidance are important links to enhance brand reputation.
